Event Posters

Student Teacher: Sarah Kedzior

Project Title: Event Posters

Grade Level: Late Middle to High School

Lesson Rationale: Students will be introduced to ideas of performance art and other areas of the arts, including theatre and music performances. They will then research an art event of their choice (whether it is a movie, play, musical, gallery opening, etc.) to gather information about creating an event poster for their event. Students will use computer programs Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to format and design their posters. Using their research and examples from the introduction of the lesson, the students will design and create a poster that is unique. They will use composition and content to communicate all of the necessary information while maintaining visual interest.
